Any approach of this social problem without knowing its dimension and the sociocultural specific of the manifestation context, presents the risk of being just a compliance with the intervention programs established by the competent authorities from the national and international level, and not a realistic approach of the phenomenon. Keywords: violence against children, evidence-based intervention programs, Child Protection Services, the role of the social worker, supervision
