 School Violence: Prevention, Causes and Consequences

School violence is a common problem that predicts serious maladjustment, being in the center interest of many researches. In order to better understand school violence, it is necessary to take into account the various perspectives on this phenomenon, the analysis of the various causes and the risk factors, identifying them representing a basic step in the development of coherent strategies prevention and programs. In turns, the article is analyzed both school violence etiology, prevalence and negative effects of this phenomenon and how the social worker and school counselors can contribute on prevention of violent cases in school. Also the article demonstrates the importance of connection and communication between school and students’ families.
