The contribution deals with the ethical decision-making of a social worker which to a certain extent always relates to a particular person, client or society and can be considered an ethical responsibility of a social worker. Despite the fact that social workers can follow the same ethical code, theories or models in making decisions, still their decisions can vary. The contribution presents the results of a research aimed at identifying the differences in ethical decision-making of social workers with respect to selected socio-demographic factors and emerging recommendations for the theory and practice of social work in Slovakia.
