In the summer of 2004 the National Audiovisual Council of Romania wished to make known the prevalence of violence to which viewrs are exposed when watching the Romanian TV chanells. Because not all over 40 TV chanels could be monitored and analysed, a selection of most watched TV channles was achieved. A part of the analysis was done on the violent content of news broadcasted at ante prime time intervals (17,00 h – 19.00 h), prime time (19.00 h – 22.00 h) and post prime time (22.00 h – 24.00 h).
