This present study aims to analyse the perception of locals on immigrant food delivery workers in Romania, a sector that has grown exponentially in the past years, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose is to discover how Romanians perceive immigrant food delivery workers that choose a better life in Romania with better payment and conditions, how Romanians perceive interactions, language barriers, if any, and what is their position towards foreign workers in this sector in Romania. Respondents were also asked about the quality of delivery services, either from restaurants or supermarkets, difficulties regarding the delivery process, if they leave tips or not and what exactly encourages them do to so as well as how often they choose to order delivery food. The methodology in this present research is based on a quantitative approach, the instrument of choice being a self-administered questionnaire, applied on locals residing in Romania, distributed in online format containing various types of questions that allowed data to be processed efficiently and systematically. The results were surprising, as we learn that food delivery is not only practical, reliable, fast and convenient, but also a better choice for many locals despite some difficulties encountered, as more people from different countries choose to become delivery workers in Romania.
