 Noua orientare a sistemului de protecţie socială a copilului şi familiei din România [The New Direction of the Child and Family Protection System in Romania]

The article analyses the legal and procedural changes that took place within the child and family protection system in Romania during the latest years, with a focus on the institutionalizaton effects on children, on the social context that determined the adoption of the current legislation, and on the favorable factors of the child’s physical and psychic development as well as the contemporary vison on mainting the child in the biological family. The finding ist hat in Romania the approach of the social protection specialized services is focused on specific intervention, development and improvement of community support network, prevention of family abandonment and active involvement of professionals.
