The Covid 19 Pandemic and the military conflict in Ukraine have taken their toll on the family dynamics in Romania in terms of child care, risk of illness and last, but not least, of financial destabilization. The challenges of this stressful period, unanimously admitted, have been the subject of the practitioners in the field of social work, reference actors in this context. The survey provides the outcome of a qualitative research using as an enquiry method a semistructured interview which was carried out by means of sixteen families (twenty- seven parents) in Valcea county, in the South of Romania. The aim of the current research is to highlight the effect that the two recent events has had on the families with school age children taking into account that all the areas of activities and their habits have suffered some changes. The main results of the ongoing survey emphasize the solid complaints expressed by parents in what regards the online school and their worries concerning the financial destabilization whereas their health problems and physical integrity didn't seem to be as important to them.
