This article was published with the support of UNICEF in Romania and deals with the problematic of street children from different perspectives. First of all, the street children are in a comprehensive framework of relations between different institutions and social actors. Secondly, it identifies the stages that these children pass through for getting into the streets and the manner they succeed to survive. Last, but not least, the paper presents certain means by which we can prevent and diminish these situations.
