This article is intended as a radiography of the social workersprofessional experiences and observations in direct work with students with mental deficiency in mainstream schools. It is not a scientific research but wants to point the authors opinions and observations of everyday work. We have tried to present what a child with mental deficiency in mainstream school means, what the social and educational policy at this time is and how we can support this type of school in terms support of the teacher support working closely with the social worker. This article does not want to promote idea the integration of children with mental deficiency in regular schools is the only opportunity for them, but we want to present our intervention in the work with these students.
