 Social Solidarity, the key principle of the Law No 116/2002

After 1989, the social climate in Romania was characterised by negative effects, especially by the transition extremely painful social costs. Lacking the necessary solidarity funds that could have cushioned the reduction of level of living for the most of the population, the diminution of the power of buying meant continuous poverty and marginalisation.
