This article takes a look at the main international and Romanian tendencies about social attitudes and representations regarding the HIV/AIDS phenomenon.
The first part of the study presents the evolutions of HIV-AIDS in the world - the extension of this disease in different countries and continents.
The second part reviews of sociological researches regarding the Romanian population attitudes regarding HIV/AIDS as disease and regarding people affected by it.
