The area of residence, the level of economic development of the location, the socio-economic status of the household, the size of the household, the level of education of the parents represent the factors that have a direct influence on the children’s educational and professional pathway, but also their educational and socio-professional mobility. This study is a part of a larger project realized by researchers from the Quality of Life Research Institute entitled Polarization of access to education and health services as a source of impoverishment in the future.

Keywords: socio-economic status, economic development, education
