Law 116 regarding preventing and combating the social marginalisation is part of a series of important laws with a pronounced social character which came into effect starting with 1st of January 2002. The laws regard the minimum guaranteed income, the national system of social work, as well as the law regarding the system of insurance for the unemployed, labour market, and, last but not least, the new laws of pension.
