Homelessness is an issue that affects both men and women regardless age, race, sexual or political orientation, or other characteristics. Also, this phenomenon is studied in various fields such as sociology, social work, urban geography, anthropology, many researches being focused on homeless men or homeless people in general. However, we can talk about invisible homeless women taking into account that they are more likely to use their domestic and sexual roles as survival strategy to avoid living on the streets.

Keywords: homelessness, homeless women, gender, social services
