New Directions for Elderly Social Policy Action

Two international events in 2002 drew the attention over the issues regarding the continuous process of population ageing which is, by essence, a positive process, a natural flow of social-economic conditions improvement and medical successes. The process can also have a negative impact due to the lack of proper social policies which are in continuous change due to demographic evolutions and their consequences.
