The following research focuses on gender differences and different treatments that Babes-Bolyai University students have encountered in their faculties. Differences between men and women are continuous and universal so they can either be enhanced or diminished in the educational environment. The purpose of this research is to examine if there are gender differences in the university environment and to identify the situations where this kind of treatment exists. By combining the qualitative and quantitative research through focus-groups and online questionnaires, gender differences can be observed in Babes-Bolyai University, but in a low proportion. The most common situations of differential treatment between male and female students were related to gender stereotypes or to attention and grades given by professors.
