The geographic mobility changed in the last years and continues to modify under the influence of educational policies and labour market and internal politics. In 2000 the European Economic and Social Committee stated that the number of those who changed residence between two states members of EU is of 225,000 i.e. 0,1% from the total of European Union population. The percentage of the geographic mobility is relatively small but certain structure modifications occurred. If forty years ago the geographic mobility only marked the unqualified workers, today the qualified people represent the most mobile group on labour market.
