European Perspectives Regarding Social Protection for Children with Autism

Autism is a developmental disorder, characterized mainly by difficulties with communication, social interaction and imagination, together with repetitive behaviour. Special interest in this area is required by the distinctive features of the disease that generates specific problems to the children and their families, and also by the apparently increasing number of cases. The study presents the measures taken into consideration by the European Parliament, European Commission and Council of Europe and also some issues regarding the situation in Great Britain.
