 Early Intervention Regarding Children With Disabilities – A New Activity Area for Social Workers in Republic of Moldova

The early intervention encloses services and support for the young child and his family, and the target of early intervention programs is to contribute to detect as early as possible the development delays in order to correct them optimally and to prevent their aggravation. The early intervention in childhood encloses the multidisciplinary services offered to the child even from birth until the age of 4-6 which are given by qualified people: paediatrics, medical doctors, occupational therapeutists, kinetotherapist, specialist is early stimulation of language and logopedics and last, but not least, social workers.
