Social work and assistance are one of the main levels of support for a changing society. Providing professional and specialised help to those in need requires that the knowledge of social workers be constantly optimized in accordance with the challenges brought by various unforeseen phenomena. This study presents the results of a qualitative research using a semi-structured interview as a research method, carried out in Caras-Severin County among 30 persons that aimed to identify and analyse the difficulties encountered in accessing social services during the pandemic period, outlining the psycho-social resources available in the online environment, provided by the government and private entities. The empirical study was carried out between September and October 2022, aiming at the following units of analysis: the socio-economic situation, the influence of the pandemic on the quality of people's lives, the perception of the use of tools digital in general, identifying the main challenges related to the use of digital tools regarding accessing social services (benefits and difficulties)
