Quarantine and isolation during the coronavirus pandemic create psychological distress among the population. However, there are people who appear to be more affected by coronavirus anxiety than others. The present study investigated the differences between men and women coping with coronavirus anxiety. Differences in education and the relationship between the work environment and anxiety about COVID-19 were also analyzed. Participants (n = 320), with an average age of 37 years, have completed the participation in this study. The results showed differences between educational level (t (318) = 1.746, p< .05) also differences between men and women ((t (318) = 4.589, p< .05). Following the analysis of the linear regression, the results revealed that working in a place at risk of coronavirus could predict anxiety for COVID-19. The results of this study bring extra knowledge and understanding about demographic factors related with COVID-19 anxiety and contribute to the understanding of the how people relate to this disease.
