Drug consumerism became a significant public health issue after 1997 when the number of addicted people grew significantly and certain measures need to be taken. Romania, which was a transit country, became, slowly but surely, a drug consumerism country. The phenomena is more and more wide spread and the key point is represented by the capital of the country where there is a receptive population to experiment these new substances, especially heroin.
