 Counselling People Affected with Chronic Diseases and Aids

In addition to involving medical services in assisting people affected by chronic diseases and AIDS, the involvement of the social work services become compulsory, because the consequences are not only medical, but also social and emotional, and even financial. The social work provides support not only to the suffering persons, but also to the survivors, through counselling, therapy, creation of a social support network and mediation in their relationships with the public institutions.
