One of the categories most affected by the pandemic is represented by the elderly in terms of physical, psychological, and social characteristic of people over 65 years of age. Although the adoption of prevention procedures aimed to protect health systems, the impact on the lives of the elderly has been a major one, even more so with how the elderly were in the category of the most vulnerable groups, at significant risk to manifest serious forms of the disease. The dramatic impact on the daily life of the elderly, especially those with care needs, has generated multiple and new challenges which led to deterioration of the emotional health of the elderly who did not have access to the Internet and digital devices to stay connected with their close ones, but also with specialists.
