In the context of the accelerated digitalization of society, the safety of children and adolescents in the online environment has become an essential component of their harmonious development. Ensuring their protection involves creating a secure climate from a physical, emotional, and social perspective, as well as preventing the risks associated with the use of digital technologies. Parental involvement and collaboration between family and school play an important role in developing digital skills and promoting responsible behavior in the virtual environment. This article analyzes the relationship between the use of the digital environment and adolescent well-being, highlighting the role of social connectedness and the differences between active and passive use of social networks.
