The article defines and characterizes the concept of emotional intelligence, its applicability in organizations, in processes and activities like producing performance, team work, and leadership. A high level of emotional intelligence means that the person has abilities like communication, relating with others, cooperation, empathy, self control etc., abilities that facilitate the personal and professional success and help the organization to produce performance.
