This paper explores the challenges and life prospects of the elderly in the village of Păru, Coșteiu commune, Timiș County. It highlights the difficulties faced by older people in rural areas, interpersonal relationships present in the community, generational and, intergenerational differences, sources of information currently used by older people and community needs. The research uses descriptive design, using a qualitative method and fifteen individual interviews. The practical implications highlight the importance of intergenerational links in the lives of older people, but also the knowledge of the needs of older people to improve the quality of life.
