Organisational citizenship behaviour though seems not well pronounced in the public organisation like the private establishments, but has propensity to turn the place of work around for improved performance. Thus, this study examined the influence of perceived organisational justice and work locus of control on organisational citizenship behaviour of civil servants in Ekiti State with a view to exploring the nature of organisational citizenship behaviour and its attendant influential factors in the public sector of Nigeria. The study employed descriptive research design. A multi stage sampling was used. Purposive sampling technique was used to select four ministries (Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Youth and Sport) in Ekiti State and 422 civil servants comprising (74%) male and (26%) female were selected through stratified random technique from the these ministries. Three standardized psychological instruments namely; Organisational Justice Scale (OJS), Work Locus of Control Scale (WLCS) and Organisational Citizenship Behaviour Questionnaire (OCBQ) were used to collect data. Data were analysed using appropriate statistical tools. The results revealed a significant influence of organisational justice on organisational citizenship behaviour. However, work locus of control had no significant influence on organisational citizenship behaviour. The study suggested that organisational justice rather than work locus of control influenced organisational citizenship behaviour among civil servants in Ekiti State, Nigeria.
