This article explores the role of team sports in improving the quality of life for children from disadvantaged backgrounds and promoting their social integration. The research highlights the benefits of sports in terms of physical, emotional, and social development, and emphasizes the need for accessible programs that enable children from low-income communities to engage in organized sports. By analyzing existing literature and case studies from Romania and abroad, this paper discusses the positive impact of team sports on children’s academic performance, self-esteem, and overall well-being, as well as the challenges and strategies for improving accessibility and inclusivity in sports programs for disadvantaged groups.
